Meet Tim Le
This race is not about politics or political party, and it should not be. It is about the people. It is about our future – and the future opportunities for our kids and grandkids.
Due to the lack of leadership of our current District 1 Commissioner, we face serious challenges – rising crime, economic challenges, and no plan for the future.
Throughout our community, crime rates continue to rise, threatening the safety of our families. Business and car break-ins are skyrocketing across the district. This issue is prevalent in the news, and despite the Board of Commissioners increasing police salaries, financial compensation alone is not a solution.
Many police officers feel unappreciated and are hesitant to perform their duties effectively. This is unacceptable. I will work with public safety officials to boost morale, develop community policing plans, and enhance safety for our citizens and businesses. Ensuring the safety of our community must be the County Government’s top priority.
There is currently no cohesive plan for our future success. Despite substantial spending and political rhetoric, there is a lack of vision and actionable solutions for our most pressing problems. As an entrepreneur and successful businessman, I understand the importance of having a clear plan and direction. My experience includes starting various businesses, such as retail stores, real estate investment firms, and an export company. In business, results are key, and there is no room for excuses.
I am committed to community service and have actively contributed to organizations across Gwinnett to enhance our quality of life. My involvement with the Georgia Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce, Gateway 85 Community Improvement District, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, and Peachtree Corners DDA reflects my dedication to supporting local businesses and improving our community.
I bring a results-oriented mindset and a proven track record of setting and executing a vision. These are the skills I will leverage on the Board of Commissioners to serve and benefit our community.
Tim’s Vision For Gwinnett
Prioritize Economic
Development
We need to continue promoting our small businesses and entrepreneurs while recruiting companies and good-paying jobs to provide greater opportunities for our people.
FINALLY Redevelop Gwinnett Place Mall
Government is not always the answer. I will work with community stakeholders and non-profits to help address the needs of our citizens that more effectively be addressed by outside organizations than the county government.
Balanced Budget & Lower Property Taxes
Despite crippling inflation, Gwinnett chose to raise taxes. I will use my expertise to cut wasteful spending, prioritize funding on programs that benefit our citizens, balance the budget, and lower the tax burden on the people.
Improve Our Quality Of Life
What was once a symbol of Gwinnett’s success is now an example of an uncertain future. We need collaboration and business-minded leadership to see this through.
Alleviate Traffic Congestion
We should leverage modern technology to tackle our traffic issues. In business, we are forced to adapt to the times and our county should as well.
Innovative Solutions To Help Our Citizens
Gwinnett’s issue are complex and traditional approaches often fall short. I believe my approve to solving problems is collaborative and is key to driving meaningful change. I'll seek to partner with community stakeholders and non-profits to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the unique needs of our community.
I love our community here in Gwinnett and am proud to call it home. Gwinnett County has seen tremendous success over the years, and it has been a place of hope and opportunity for both those born and raised here and for those who have come here from around the world. However, now, a lack of vision and leadership is putting our future at risk.
I won’t stand for that. That is why I am running for Gwinnett County Commission District 1. I am ready to bring a real vision and serious leadership to the Board of Commissioners to make sure our most successful days are ahead of us.”
